Pakistani batsman Nasir Jamshed was dejected at the Delhi airport when he found that he had forgotten his man of the series trophy at his hotel room.

It were the much-vaunted Indian batsmen that had to deliver if India wanted to do well against Pakistan. In complete contrast, they did miserably and the Indians expectedly went down in yet another high-profile series.

The series against Pakistan went out of India’s grasp even before one could get the hang of the TV commercial for the series, in which senior Indian players are pronouncing with fierce determination – ‘aane do’ (bring on the Pakistanis!). If only they had shown such determination on the cricket field.
